NBA Finals Game 2, Posey Collision Unnecessary, Stanley Cup Finals

I thought that Jason Terry letting Mario Chalmers go to the far corner all by himself in the closing moments of last night's NBA Finals Game 2 was the worst defense I could possibly see. That is, until I saw Chris Bosh let Dirk Nowitzki spin away from him and take a virtually uncontested layup.

Really?

So we're heading back to Dallas tied up one apiece. However, the momentum meter is buried on the Mavericks side after erasing a 15 point deficit in the fourth quarter. Yeah, about that whole "The Heat have fixed their closing issues".

I don't want to say the Heat quit in the fourth, but they definitely relaxed and give credit to the Mavericks for not tucking their tail between their legs and heading home. My bold prediction going forward is that if the Mavericks win the next game, they'll win the series.

San Francisco Giants GM Brian Sabean is all kinds of upset at Florida Marlins CF Scott Cousins for his hit on Giants backstop Buster Posey that has ended Posey's season.

While I still don't favor a rule change, Sabean has a point because this home plate collision was totally avoidable. In fact I'll go so far as to say that if Cousins would have dove for the outside part of the plate he probably would have been safe.

Posey was not blocking the plate and Cousins route sure as hell looks like he was just trying to take Posey out. If the catcher is waiting with the ball and looking at you, that's one thing. But when he's trying to receive the ball and is essentially unable to protect himself, that's just over the top.

What's worse: Oprah bumping the Eastern Conference Finals out of the United Center or Supertramp bumping the Stanley Cup Finals out of the Rogers Centre?

Alex Burrows was not suspended for biting the hand that punched him in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. At first I kind of scratched my head at the NHL for virtually condoning this, but in a league where fighting is legal you kind of get what you're asking for when something like this happens.

I've decided I need a hockey team. I'm going to take the summer and do some research because I have certain criteria, but I want to get back into the NHL.

However like anything, it needs to be done the right way. Here's what I'm thinking for criteria:

-Physical
-Not afraid to spend money
-Not in the southern United States
-A goon or two on the roster wouldn't hurt.

If you have any suggestions, shoot me an email.
