If A Canseco Falls In The Boxing Ring, Does Anyone Care?
Is anyone really surprised by that story I linked to earlier about Jose Canseco sending twin brother Ozzie to box in his place?
I mean, I don't know what's worse: being so inconsequential that you're relegated to celebrity boxing; or being so ashamed you convince your struggling-to-be-as-inconsequential-as-you brother to show up and claim to be you. It's a circle of self-hate that would leave even Kurt Cobain woozy.
This latest episode is only the latest episode in the Jose Canseco Defraud America Tour. For years, he pretended to be a Major League Baseball player. After that, it was acting like a concerned former athlete who wanted to expose the use of performance enhancing drugs in sports to save future athletes from suffering.
Oh, and grab a little cash while he's at it
It's too bad that Jose seems disinterested in celebrity boxing, because I might actuall pay money to see him and his brother go head-to-head, followed up by Charlie Sheen vs. Barry Bonds in the main event.
