Championship Sunday Randoms

Today's the day: Packers- Bears for the Halas Trophy, the winner gets a chance to play for the Lombardi Trophy. Does it get any better than that?

As I wrote on Bleacher Report, Bear success is purely on quarterback Jay Cutler's shoulders. Today we find out if those two first rounders were worth it.. I'm sure Kyke Orton or Rex Grossman were just as capable of laying an egg in this situation.

If Jay takes care of the football, Bears win.

In the other game today, the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets face off to decide the AFC representative to the Super Bowl. No word on whether Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was arrested for sexual assault last night..

In that game, it's all about the Jets secondary preventing the big play. The difference between the Steelers and the Patriots is Rashard Mendenhall. True, he hasn't burned up the turf of late, but if they can run the ball it will make life miserable for the Jets.

The pressure is on the Jets D because I'm pretty sure Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez will not resemble the player we saw last week. He's playing a big boy defense this week and Jets points will be at a premium.

So my picks this week: Bears, 20-14 and Steelers, 17-13.
