Sunday Morning Thoughts
Good morning folks. Here we go...
Alabama has Florida's number, no doubt that. Like I tweeted this morning: 3-13 on 3rd down and 4 turnovers makes it hard to believe if these two meet for the SEC title in December the outcome would be different.
Texas traveled to Oklahoma for the 2010 installment of the Red River Rivalry, and it lived up to its billing. Oklahoma edged Longhorns 28-20 thanks to a muffed punt. I won't say who muffed it, but his name rhymes with Sharon Williams. Also of note in this game is that there were about as many points scored as fans arrested for public drunkedness. Ah, the days....
Too many players on the field, Derek Dooley? Really? You get outgained, force 4 turnovers, have LSU ready to fire Les Miles and your team lets the game get away for that? Inexcusable.
Is Mark Dantonio a good coach who has prepared his assistants for success or is Michigan State's record a matter of good players making any coach look good? Discuss.
Iowa holding Penn State to 3? The Nittany Lions had their chances but got out-executed. Yes, I made that word up.
Great finish to the USC-Washington game. Even better when Huskies fans could breathe again seeing soon to be Buffalo Bills quarterback Jake Locker return after a punishing QB keeper.
The Philadelphia Eagles host the Washington Redskings and Donovan McNabb today. It will be interesting to see how classless Philly fans can be this time. McNabb did nothing but play his heart out for them. They hold the fact that he never won a Super Bowl against him, which is totally unfair.
I hope they cheer him during the introduction. After that, he's the enemy quarterback. I get that, but anything less than a standing O during the opening introductions will be one more log on the fire of my hatred for everything Philadelphia.
