NBA Finals Rant

The NBA Finals are underway and what better matchup could you ask for than the Lakers and Celtics? Oh and by the way, Kobe just reminded you all why he's the best player in the league over the past 5 weeks. That's enough of all that LeBron talk. He will probably earn that title one day, but it's not his yet. Opponents to my argument will say that Lakers roster is vastly superior, and maybe they're right. But if you could magically swap players and transplant Kobe and LeBron, do you really think Kobe's Cavs would go out like LeBron's did? When was the last time Kobe Bryant shot the Lakers out of a playoff game? Maybe there's an example here or there, but in must win situations Kobe always answers the bell. LeBron clearly didn't have it what it takes in the Eastern Conference Semis, legit elbow injury or not. Anyone see Kobe's finger this season? You know, the FRACTURED one? LeBron's post-game pout and free agent status has cost Mike Brown his job (rightfully so) and now Danny Ferry his. I haven't made up my mind about whether Ferry's departure is good or bad but it tells me that he obviously felt differently about the direction the head coach search was going. Either way, LeBron is getting what everyone thinks he wants. The only problem is that until number 24's heart deteriorates at the same pace as his skills, LeBron will be the second best player in the league. Sorry, your highness. ---KG
