Run-On Friday

OK, I know it's technically late Saturday, but I can't scrap a title after one entry. Butler is a Final Four team. Butler is a Final Four team. Butler is Fin- if I keep saying it, maybe I'll be OK with it. All we need is Duke to lose to Baylor and we'll have a #1-less Final Four. Syracuse losing probably could be attributed to the absence of Arinze Onuaku, but post play wasn't the only thing wrong. This past season the Orange offense was prone to spells of invisibility. The other night was the first game where that spell lasted around 25 game minutes. Nice time of year for it to happen.. The really painful part was that the entire Butler roster looked like everyone I wasn't cool enough to be around in high school. They win again! Kentucky and West Virginia looked like they didn't want any part of moving on if you watched them shoot free throws. There's something about disappointed Kentucky fans that makes my heart glow. Bracket update: the dog is no longer winning, however he's still beating me. Opening Day of baseball is right around the corner and the annual Field Of Dreams Night is coming upon us quickly. Once James Earl Jones speaks the gospel according to Doubleday, then spring has officially begun. The NFL Draft is creeping up and I don't feel the same anticipation that I usually do. It just doesn't seem like anyone in this class is someone we'll be arguing over Hall Of Fame credentials in 20 years. The Bears however feel content to not make any deals that might get them a pick in the first two rounds. Why us TE Greg Olsen still a Bear? I know he's a great talent, but who was the last TE to lead their team to a Super Bowl?Gates? Gonzales? Shockey didn't lead the Saints and the Giants two years ago played better after he was injured. You don't build teams around the TE. You just don't.----KG
