Tim Tebow's OK and Florida is still number 1.  Oh yeah,  the sun came up this morning as well.

Cal is still somehow in the Top 25.  You were the number 6 team.  You get embarrassed, annihilated, floored, etc- and you still are one of the top 25 teams in the nation?  Truth be told I don't see a lot of PAC-10 games, but that ranking seemed the closest thing to a paper lion I could think of.

Damn me for not putting it on paper before Saturday.

Speaking of Lions how 'bout those Redskins? They underwhelm against St. Louis last week and then get the Lions on the winning track. Hey, Coach Zorn- hearing footsteps?

The Yankees clinch and every baseball fan that isn't in love with pinstripes just threw up in their mouths a little. Boston still won 91 games so far and the Yankees clearly have the momentum, but the AL World Series bid is not sewn up yet.

Stafon Johnson is doing well apparently after emergency throat surgery due to injuries sustained by dropping a bench press on his throat. Apparently the strength and conditioning coach was standing over him when it happened.  I'm not trying to make light of this story but if your job is strength and conditioning coach and you can't spot correctly you gotta be out of a job.

Speaking of athletic trainers: fire the Mets' trainer. Now.
