My head is spinning.

First, Manny Ramirez makes a serious attempt to surpass Terrel Owens as the world's most self-absorbed athlete and turning down a very generous offer from the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Then, the Washington Redskins and that wild card owner of theirs, Dan Snyder, throw $100 million at Albert Haynesworth over seven years. Sure "only" 41 of it is guaranteed, but when was the last time you saw the oft-injured defensive tackle change a game?

That's a lot of money to pile onto an everyday stretcher.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers apparently feel that since they gutted their roster of all players old enough to drive, they can now invest their money into a Tight End with more time laid up than Client No. 9.

Kellen Winslow is apparently the answer to the Buc's woes. In a matter of 4 days they have reverted back to the Buccaneers we all know and love. What's next, bring back the orange uni's?

AND THEN, the Vikings go and throw $9 million dollars for two years of the Sage Rosenfels experiment. Although I can see how this can stabilize the Vikings roster: now no one has more job security on that team than last year's QB Tarvaris Jackson.

If you listen to the best podcast in the world, Steve and Keith Live, then you already know I was never crazy about the Celtics bringing aboard Stephon Marbury. Well apparently Danny Ainge is ignoring my advice and waiting until the underwhelming one has cleared waivers to make it official.

The time bomb on this one is ticking loud and clear. Of course now that I've put it in print, Marbury will be the good citizen and probably hit the series winning shot to sink my beloved Lakers in June.

One question: if Kevin Garnett has to play policeman with Marbury like he did with "Big Baby" Davis earlier in the season, do you think Marbury will cry or come out swinging?

It's been a wild Friday, for sure. And NFL free agency is just starting.
