Well damn. Why can't the Yankees have one off-season without any crap happening?

First we blow a small countries net worth on 4 players, then Joe Torre writes a tell all book throwing everyone under the bus, and just when it couldn't get any worse, it comes out that A-Rod was on the juice. I'm afraid to know what's next. Jeter wears drag and likes to be called Jennifer, Joba is really from Jupiter. Who knows.

What I do know is a player who could have been the greatest ever has now had his named tarnished along with Barry and Mark. Why A-Rod? You already got the largest contract in history. You had the respect of every fan and most of your peers. Why did you have to cheat?

I believe I know the answer to my own question. Your massive friggin ego. Who can blame you though. We live in a time and era which the best is just not good enough. Where being a role model is a joke to the athletes but not to the fans. The sports world has become to much of a business and not enough of what made sports great, just the gameitself.

Sports heroes made more of difference when they were medicated with alcohol and women, not the crap they put in themselves today. We need our heroes back. Players who are happy to play the game they love, not only because they make more money than god but because they want to play for themselves as much as the fans. Remember guys, you play for us too.

Well Mr. Rodriguez, to you sir I say shame on you. I used to cheer your 400ft blasts and the excitement you could bring with one swing, not anymore. You have taken away a little more of the innocence that is quickly leaving the game of baseball. Somewhere the Babe is looking down on all of you cheats, a girl on his arm and a beer in his hand, and he is shaking his head in disgust. Guess there will never be an A-Rod candy bar in our future.
