Billion Dollar Baby

Hello Friends

Welcome to the new depression. Today this country and the world face a conflict of epic proportions.

With our economy heading for the proverbial crapper, it gives me a warm fuzzy knowing that a man can still pay 1 billion dollars for 95% of something.

On Tuesday Stephen Ross, a New York billionaire, gave Wayne Huizeng 1 billion dollars for a 95% share in the Miami Dolphins. Now I know t hat Economics class also held the title of nap time while Mr. Grieve and I attended good old R.L. Thomas High School, but if my travels lead me to McDonalds I'm not going to hand over my money for 95% of a Big Mac.

If the purchase price was any less than 10 figures I would just turn the other cheek, but while I'm struggling to buy toilet paper, this jackass drops a billion ducats without breaking a sweat.

Now these rants are not born out of envy. I just think in this new age of "hope" promised to us from President Obama, we all need to use some better judgment.

Yes this also goes for our billionaires. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for capitalism and the freedoms this great nation was built on, but the next time a rich asshole with loose pockets feels like spending a few pennies, they need to get a little more than tuna and Isotoners. For that money Mr. Ross could have easily picked up the Bills, a dozen hookers, and the entire NHL.

Next time sir use a little judgment and you can make the next large check out to:
